The Lady of the Skulls
A group project where I collaborated with a team of artists and developed a series of concept art based on the story written by Patricia A. McKillip.
Once upon a time, there was a tower standing lonely in the middle of a desert. A lady was trapped inside the tower for countless years with treasure and skulls planted with roses. One day, a group of knights came to seek the treasure. They were told by the Lady that they must pick the most precious treasure, or they will die once they exit the tower. The knights started panicking, but the most clever one among them, the Knight of Carnelaine, made his choice and led the Lady through the gate of the tower...

Guardian of the Underworld
A personal project inspired by DND games.
Eleanor was the knight and guardian of the Land of the Dead. Her duty was to uphold the order of the underworld and escort the dead people to reincarnation. As a knight, she was protective toward the weak. But the sense of responsibility and rigid rule of the underworld also forced her to be impartial and unbending toward any plead from the dead to return to the living world. However, that didn’t stop her from feeling sympathetic toward these poor souls. Eleanor used to have a loving family. Her sudden death took away her chance to say the final goodbye to her loved ones. Longing to see her family one last time, Eleanor became the guardian to remain in the Land of the Dead for the final reunion. She understood the deep pain of parting for both the dead and the livings more than anyone. Therefore, Eleanor was doing her best, in ways that evade the cold rule of underworld, to save the dead from their regrets, or at least helping their living family move on.

Morris' Fables
The game design project where I collaborated with game designer Heather Chen to develop the concept art for the game "Morris' Fables."
Morris, the youngest member of Grimm’ s family, needs to enter a strange fairy tale book to lift the family curse. Her first stop in the world of fables is the story of Little Red Riding Hood. After becoming Red herself, Morris discovered that her “grandma” Isabella was trying to keep dark secrets from her that made the originally peaceful story world plunge off the tracks. To correct the story line, Morris needs to make the right decisions or something terrible is going to happen…

Jack and the Beanstalk
A redesign of the fairytale "Jack and the Beanstalk" set in a rural French village.
Jack and his mother lived in a shabby little house at the edge of a rural village. Fascinated with legends and sagas, Jack dreamed of going on an adventure to find the treasure that will give his family’ better lives. He exchanged his cow—the only valuable property of the family—for a magical sunflower seed. In the next morning, the seed grew into a gigantic sunflower. Climbing up the stalk, Jack reached a beautiful garden full of sunflowers with golden petals. He took as many petals as possible. His actions angered the guarding giant, who chased him down the stalk. In order to protect his mother from the giant, Jack cut the huge sunflower. The giant fell to the ground and had no more energy to make further damages.

Glasses
A group animation project.
I'm in charge of character design, prop design, bg design and animation in this project.
Alex, a little dog with a large scar on his face, bought a pair of glasses from the kind glasses shop owner Randy. After covering his scar with the glass, he tried to befriend with the other children. When he was about to be accepted, his dark memories of being bullied for his scar suddenly rushed back to him, making him lose control of his fear. Randy, witnessed everything through the window, decided to help. He comforted the poor little dog and revealed his prosthetic antler to him. The other kids also showed Alex their imperfections. Eventually, Alex gained confidence and the courage to accept his own imperfection. He returned the glasses to Randy and joined his new friends to play.
